Can anyone reccommend a socket A motherboard that has on board everything but that has an AGP slot for adding a video card in the future? It should also be real cheap.
my dad has an ABIT board .. K37M or sumething like that (lost the book and it's 7am here, so i'm not going to screw it open to see which one it is) it has 3 PCI slots only Duron support, 2 dimm slots and an AGP port
it has also built in S3 savage card (is quite good, the best of the built in 3D cards i've ever seen ... beats my system on pure 3D games (but then look at my sys in my sig and u'll know why ..)
and the audio is also quite descent ..
PC-Chips M810LMR. Uses everything the SiS 730S chipset has to offer, bundles a modem card, and, unlike the ASUS board, has onboard LAN and an AGP 4x slot for later VGA upgrades or dual-head configuration.
The Elitegroup (ECS) K7VZA v.3 (version 3 has the KT133A chipset, v.1 the KT133), a nice and stable m/b. The only overclocking option is the FSB, up to 112 MHz. And with the overclockers bios up to 160 MHz. No voltage/multiplier settings.
PC Chips. The makers of the infamous motherboards that has no cache, and used fake cache chips.
Not only should you avoid at all costs, they should be in jail for cheating buyers!!!!
ECS K7VMA. Has on-board S3 Video, and Sound, with a AGP slot. It was only $80 where I got it, and has served me well, very stable. The only bad part is no multiplier adjustment, just FSB 1Mhz increases up to 113MHz. Quick Question, what's this overclockers BIos you mentioned KifArU? Where can I get it?
