Looking for a cheap, quiet PSU

I am gathering components to build a new rig built around a HD4830 working in crossfire mode. Not quite certain about the CPU, though I am sorta leaning toward a Phenom II (just gotta wait and see what happens after the rumored 2/8 launch if it does happen). The system will also have an optical drive, and one or two 5400rpm 1TB drives.

Thusfar I only dealt with single card configurations (HD4850, XT1900, 9600 GSO) along with EW380/EW430. Either one worked fine with 4 HDDs along with that, but a HD4830 will add another 110W at peak, so I am guessing I will need something more robust. I am willing to pay a tad more for something significantly more quite. Price matters, of course 🙂

Any suggestions?

What is your budget?

This Thermaltake would be enough and is $29 after rebate.

Or maybe look into the Corsair HX520/VX550 PSU's if one of those fits your budget. Provantage.com always has rebates on the Corsair PSU's, usually $10 or $20 off.

I would like it to be no more than $70 if possible. If one is quieter than another for another $10 or so I would definitely go for it.

I was looking at the corsair 550VX which was about 70AR. Is the PC P&P model more quiet? would it be able to handle two 4830s (possibly something beefier in a distant future)
