Looking for a cheap case that has a door covering the power/reset buttons...

Have a 2yo, she knows not to touch the buttons, but sometimes temptation strikes, or accidents happen.

Well, I'm building a new pc and need a new case anyway so may as well try and be a little wiser this time.

I'd rather pay a little more for quality, but, would like to keep total under $50. I don't need a powersupply but would be nice if it came with one--for a spare.

Thanks!

I haven't noticed any Antecs w/ covered buttons except for the Sonata ($90 w/ psu?). Though, then aren't you going to have a problem w/ her swinging the door open and shut? And then when she finds the buttons inside!

EDIT: Actually, I guess all the doored ones have covered buttons... but those ones cost the same as the Sonata anyway. =/

ive got a pretty cool case that is huge and has a 500w PSU for 60 + whatever the real shipping is if you want it. the buttons are covered and the side has a window (also comes with a side panel that doesnt have a window).

Some of the ones I'd looked at w/ doors covered the drive bays but not the buttons. I thought it was odd.

As for her opening the door, like I said she knows not to, and she doesn't play in the PC area alone, so I'd be able to make sure it's not a problem. The button push can happen a bit quicker than I'd like, and really the power button isn't so much an issue as XP does a clean shutdown, but, the reset button--well--I could disconnect it I suppose, anyway, the door is just a nice extra for a new case. Not the perfect answer, just a plus.

I should have specified, I'm looking for Med.Tower or smaller. Wife getting upset with my space rqmts--I'm sacrificing an old full-tower case in this process. Don't ask, it isn't logical...

I'd take a look at this. Directron even has it in different colors, if that strikes your fancy. :)

If you don't have a good power supply, I'd recommend the Antec SLK3700BQE.... but it runs a bit more. :)

I've seen cases that lack a reset button, while that may not be ideal, I've rarely had to use mine in XP.

Also, you should be able to set it so the power button is standard ATX style, ie: a long button press required to shutdown. I thought XP was like that as default, although it might be in the BIOS settings.

Thirdly, we have a really nice cases and cooling forum here :D

Thanks, looks good, I'll browse a few more on that site, I'm not sure I like the 'matrix' style, but, the case features look very good. Tempting. Appreciate all the help.
