Cliff Notes

Please make recommendations for cheap 2GB PC3200 kit (2x1GB). No Corsair ValueRam.

I'm gaming on the following box:

Abit NF7-S v2.0
AthlonXP @ 2.2GHz (200x11)
1GB Corsair PC3200 (2x512MB running dual channel)
X800GTO (256MB)
300GB Seagate SATA drive (16MB buffer)

The performance is actually not bad at 1280x1024. What is killing me are load times. I have a system in storage (can't get to it ATM) with 2GB of ram and the load times are SO much faster.

So, I want to make one last upgrade to this box. I want to move to 2GB of RAM goodness.

No overclocking needed; I know this CPU won't do much more than it's current 2.2GHz, so all I need is quality ram that'll run stable at it's PC3200 rated speed.

NO CORSAIR VALUERAM, please. I've had no less than 3 sticks of that stuff die on me in the past.

Any suggestions that won't break the bank? Thanks.

Good suggestion, but I don't purchase used PC hardware unless I can physically inspect it first. ESPECIALLY from geek forums like AT, where the ram has probably been overclocked and overvolted to death already. :p

Gotta be NIB. Warranty=happy Mike

I have a 1 Gigabyte G.Skill ram and a 512 Corsair ram both @ 3200 from Newegg that runs great on my AMD XP system.
