lol, good old don karnage. Its funny, everyone around here hates the honest folks but get sucked into kissing a guy like Dons ass, right before he robs them blind :D.

I have this monitor and IPS panels suck in comparison to TN. On IPS u get view angle but you sacrafice a ton of sharpness in doing so. Go TN 120hz for best image quality.

Lol, did he get permanently banned? Oh boy, I got an infraction, hope I don't get a ban next :\

Regarding the monitor. I did research on the "www" after I posted this, and almost everyone says NOT to get this monitor. They don't specify as to why, they just say is low quality and has horrible response time for gaming. So i'm kinda doubting it now. Is weird because there are 2 extremes. One says "Best Monitor I ever owned" The others say "Biggest Piece of S****"

So I'm kinda stock in between. I need 120Hz just for gaming, something between 23-24" but I can only spend $270 at the most.

Ugh... So undecided but I need a replacement fast.

The monitor is awesome for gaming. The only knock on it for me is the color reproduction isn't very good at all for the desktop IMO, looks fine in game. It also has a bit of backlight bleed but not terrible. Probably going to depend upon the individual monitor as to how severe those issues are, I saw no issues at all with response time or input lag. Gameplay was as good as the Asus VG278 I currently use.

Please dont necro 8 months old threads :p

Why not get a quality 60hz screen instead? Try look at the Dell U2412M. And for input lag:

IPS got better image quality, better colours etc :|
TN is discount screens.

The thread was not locked, so I see nothing wrong with commenting on it specially if its regarding something that is of my interest or a conversation in the thread that may benefit me or others. So I'm not sure if you are being serious or just joking here, lol sorry.

If you look at my signature, I have an Asus VE248, which is 60Hz. I don't need another 60Hz monitor. Because of Severe screen tearing in my games I am in dire need of 120Hz monitor, that is within my budget.

Yeah, play FPS's on a 120Hz monitor for a couple of months then go back to your "quality" IPS screen. See how that works out for ya.

No joke! I'm forced to play every single game I own with Vsync On, because of horrible screen tearing when my frames reach above 60FPS. This is my first Computer I build (With a friends help) and I built it just for gaming. But If I would have known that 60Hz was going to cause me so many issues for gaming, such as screen tearing, I would have just spent the money on 120Hz monitor at the time of building this solid machine.

Now my budget is back down due to other spending, and I can't afford any nice 120Hz monitor I see out there :'(

All this games which my system is well capable of getting well over 60 Frames at its full potential. I'm forced to play with Vsync limiting my Frames to only 60 FPS so the monitor can keep up. Trust me I tried tweaking the Nvidia settings, etc.... Conclusion, I need a monitor with 120Hz.

Its nothing amazing, but far better than ips for gaming. If you can find a higher quality one by all means go with that.

Yeah, I guess you can only be a baller when you buy a screen that cant keep up with your hardware. TN gives a far sharper image.

Stay away from that, not a 120Hz. Most of the monitors you'd be interested in will mention nVidia 3D Vision, there are also some Samsungs that are 120Hz without being "3D Vision" monitors.
