Looking for a chain wallet

Im going to replace my old standard leather wallet with a chain wallet just to keep me from losing it.

Im in the preliminary stages of figuring out what traits are good, but i want a clasp instead of a leather belt strap, and i'd prefer snaps on the wallet - open to a zipper though if its nylon.

I'd also like either a seperate keychain to clasp onto a belt loop, or have it be part of the wallet's chain.

All recommendations and advice welcome. TIA.

Wow. Are these things coming back in style? I've only ever seen them on redneck types.

Yeah it's pretty white trash. Try a fannypack instead. It's useful and it will get you laid, as long as you don't mind buttsecks.

get a smaller wallet and put it in your front pocket. or wear cargo pants.

there just should not be a need give your pants/wallet a leash.

unless maybe you're pulling your pants off a lot and losing your wallet. then maybe we should strap your pants to you and forget the wallet.

Pretty sure you have to be a 16 year old stoner to carry a chain wallet.
That is, if you lived in the 80's.

I saw a guy last weekend in the mall who looked about twenty, ball cap on sideways, baggy pants cinched around is knees with a studded belt, over-sized t-shirt and a big chain wallet.

This is in small town North Idaho so I was tempted to warm him not to be out looking like that after dark for his own safety.

I guess if you really want to stick with jeans, you might need something to keep you from losing your wallet. I prefer 5.11 TDU's so I have plenty of secure pockets.

What I want is to find a good waterproof wallet. Especially for trips to beach and lounging around the pool bar. Saw a few two pocket folded waterproof wallets but was hoping for 3 or more pockets.

Listen to this man.

Please invest in a nice wallet / decent apparel. Nothing says "I'm clueless" like a chained wallet attached to your pants.

I wear a chain wallet because I sit a lot and it tends to fall out of the front pocket. This only when wearing shorts though, jeans are mostly tight enough to avoid that.
I also live in a place full of skater-wiggers.

EDIT: lol I just discovered that there are front pocket wallets with a curved shape.

bullshit excuse.

put it in your back pocket, buy normal shorts, or sit in a normal chair at the appropriate height.

Why even carry a wallet? What do you need when you leave the house?

ID
Check Card
Credit Card
Maybe a parking/access card?

I never carry a wallet. Everything goes in the front pocket.

Ipod touch
motodroid phone
keys
card pass for work
gym card
occasional CCW i put in front pocket
wallet has ccw permit, debit, credit, med. insurance, car insurance, V.A card, sometimes cash

So now that we're done inventorying me and justifying the choice, as if i should have to do that anyway, does anyone actually use one? or a clasping keychain?

Look around in different biker-centric stores. I prefer brown leather over black.

i've been wanting to try a different kind of wallet like the slim ones or the magic wallet or something small and orginizes well.
funny though i still have my harley davidson strap and chain. not the wallet part though. had it since middle school, just never wanted to toss it i guess.
