Not sure what the best forum was for this, but this one has the most eyeballs..
Right now our Non-profit is using a basic webhost for POP3 email services (space limits us to about 150megs per user), with Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Live mail as the clients. The host sucks so were looking at some other options.
From what I've seen the going rate for Exchange hosting is $6-10/mo per user. Anything cheaper? We're an non-profit so $800/mo is a tough pill to swallow especially considering we've been paying $50/mo for the last 5 years.
Any good IMAP hosts? Would it be reasonable to host all email on the server with a good IMAP host? I do it with Gmail myself, but wondering about best practices for email. We'd like to go with "Google Apps for your domain" but we'd have to use the free unsupported edition since the paid edition is too expensive and being a non-profit in Canada we don't qualify for the free Education edition.
Hosting our own server is not something I want to do.. don't have enough time as it is, and zero budget for it.
Thanks
