Looking for a $50 joystick

I'm considering an older Saitek Cyborg Evo. The newer Cyborg X looks really cool, but this youtube review makes it look fragile. The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro also looks nice, but every other reviewer complains about calibration problems after 6 months.

Anyone know of a decent joystick they can attest to? I'll be using it for FPS games mostly. BC2 now, BF3 later on. Thanksinadvance.

In general joysticks are not very good for FPS. Stick with a nice KB and mouse.

The mentioned FPS games contain aircraft.

Aircraft tend to be more effective when flown with a stick.

yea bf type games are the exception, you use both wasd mouse and switch to joystick when you jump into a plane. i used to use a logitech 3d. but i haven't played bf for quite a while. but its true, trying to fly in bf with wasd+mouse gets you killed as fast as if you played fps regular run and gun with a joystick.
