My current samsung lcd tv is dying. I'm getting strange visuals until the tv warms up (overlapping images, blurring, etc) and I'm looking for a new TV. I'd like to stay under $1500.

My requirements

1) I mostly game on my 360
2) I watch tv via my macbook pro (OTA recordings, etc)
3) I want, but don't need built in netflix and hulu
4) I do not need 3D functionality (In fact, I can't use it as it gives me migraines after about 10-15 minutes)

I'm looking at the following tv's

Any suggestions?

I actually don't normally recommend LG, but I recently demoed an LG LW5600 LCD and was really impressed with it, especially the way they implemented their 3D. LG chose passive 3D rather than active and the results were pretty impressive. Check it out before giving up on 3D. The issues you were experiencing with 3D may have been due to the active shutter technology rather than 3D. Definitely worth checking out.

The 55" should be within your budget too:

LG LW5600

The main negative with that particular model is that it was some pretty bad input lag, however that may be something that can be adjusted.
