Anyone have any suggestions?

I would like for it to be compatible with the motor on my camera so I can take advantage of the auto-focus when I am lazy and don't want to do it manually. My price limit is under $300.

Thanks guys.

I've found that the Tamron 28-200 F/3.8-5.6 Lens can be had for just around $300. Anyone have experience with this lens?

Tamrons are pretty good. I think my friend's wife has that lens. She says its heavier then the Canon lens but the objectives are good. The focus motor is a little slow. I think you'd be satisfied with that lens seeing as how the Canon 28-200 isn't cheap by any means.

Save some more money for a 28-300.......... you will not regret it 😀 I've used Tamron, Tokina & Sigma.............. all good 3rd party lense makers 😀

Cheers,

What are the differences between these two Tamron lenses?
