suggestions? will be a gift so nothing stupid expensive

CL or local garage sales? There tend to be good vintage gear for little money on garage sales or CL.

Edit 2: Any reason for wanting an amp and not a simple stereo receiver? Receivers are far more plentiful and cheaper.
 
well they are my speakers im just gifting them to someone else 🙂

could go with a stereo receiver, which is kind what i meant by integrated in my post.
 
Used speakers are far less likely to have issues than a used receiver/amp.

I love used gear...but also because I have the ability to fix it 😉
 
In that case, I agree with picking something up from CL. Otherwise maybe a T-amp from hifimediy.com or 41hz.com? Plenty of power (your speakers aren't super-high sensitivity), easy for you to put together, affordable.
