could someone recommend me a place to buy a 165 with a decent stepping that could hit 2.5 on air 🙂 , also should i buy oem or retail? for some reason the oem's are always priced higher then the retail cpus
 
If you're going after something that will hit 2.5 on air (and you're ONLY going for 2.5); you could always buy my chip 😛
It peaks out @ 2.52 with 1.425 volts

Anyway, back on topic.
Just buy retail, it'll be cheaper.. buy from www.tankguys.biz or www.flickerdown.com if you're after specific stepping info.
 
they list the stepping on their website of the 165's they have in stock. If you click a link and it says "item not found", it's not in stock.
