Looking for a 100% upgrade

Hey all,
So I'm looking to replace a gpu in a system for a friend.
Right now he's running an Nvidia 460 GTX, the model with 256bit memory.

He's wanting to upgrade, but keep it in the $200-250 price range. Also wants to make sure its at least double the performance of his current card.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking something like the 660 TI? or 7870?

Rest of his machine
AMD 1100t @ 3.8ghz
8gb DDR1600
A 700watt psu (58amps on the 12v rail)

HD 7950 is slightly above USD 250 and a better performer than GTX 760 especially at average overclocks of 1100 - 1150 mhz. 1GB more VRAM. performs better in bandwidth intensive situations like Sleeping Dogs with SSAA, Crysis 3 with 4x MSAA

for slightly lower you can get a GTX 760
