Anyone know of any sites that may have some info on the physics that happen when the trigger is pulled?

Although the mechanics are slightly different from gun to gun it's really quite simple. You pull the trigger which causes a firing pin to hit the primer on the back of the cartridge (except for rim fire cartridges) which ignites the charge in the shell and propels the bullet out the barrel.
