The dealer wants $165 bucks, I found some on Ebay for pretty cheap, and I saw a couple with the FOB actually built into the key. This is how my friends 09 Camry FOB is. But the ones I saw on Ebay looked like custom hackjobs. My Googling on this sucks, but would I be able to find one like my neighbors that'll work with my 02? I don't mind the keychain FOB but having it integrated with the key is pretty sweet. I know Toyota doesn't offer this, but I'm thinking some aftermarket company makes these.

any knowledge on this from anyone would be great, I'm not in any rush to get an FOB as I already have one, but I'd like a backup just incase

I picked up one for a 2000 Grand Prix I had from Autozone for around $20 a few years back. I never even knew they carried them. They had to order it but only took a few days to come in. Might be worth checking out.

that's the one I have right now, the 2nd one would be similar to this

all I'm finding so far is a switchblade one which is like a full sized FOB with a key inside, you press a button and a key pops out. Kind of big but if I can't find anything smaller I'll go with it.

Can't really help there. I don't know if the fob circuits from a later Toyota Camry would work with your existing car receiver circuits. Maybe it can sync up, maybe not.

02-06 is considered a 5th gen Camry the 07-current is 6th gen. I can't buy a 6th gen key fob and use it. But I am seeing a switchblade fob, looks cool but the 2 videos of it I'm finding on Youtube both say it's got a pretty low quality build.

link to the one I'm looking at on Ebay. I guess I might just have to stay with the stand alone FOB.

That should work ok with your car. You would need to move your key to the new fob, or take it to a locksmith to cut the key blank supplied with it. Price is not bad.

I know it'll work, but the 2 reviews I saw on it weren't very good, they both said the key part was a bit lose and it felt cheaply made. So I was thinking maybe somebody on here knows an aftermarket source for a higher quality one. I'm pretty much over finding a small one similar to the new 07-010 where it's only slightly larger than a regular key and still has all the controls in it.

But you're right, the price isn't bad maybe I'll give it a shot, worse case scenario it is cheaply made and I'm out $45 bucks, not the end of the world.
