Looking for 2 new 120mm LED

I currently have 4 120mm Antec TriCool 3 Speed LED fans. I would like to replace the front intake and rear exhaust due to the loud noise I am getting from these 2 fans. The side and top blowhole fans are fine as they are turned down to lower RPMs.

I would like something that can push the air well and is blue LED. My Antec has 79 CFM but at the expense of 30 dBA. Can anyone suggest anything to help turn down the noise of my system?

As per SPCR: Clear plastic or fiber glass fan blades will resonate more than black plastic.

Just the way it is.

I took a look at those, but I was disappointed with the low airflow. Are Thermaltake Thunderblade good fans? They advertise 78CFM with 21dBA, but I was wondering if that was really true.

What do most people run CFM wise for their front intake and rear exhaust?

ThermalTake lies about thier fan specs, this is an accepted truth.

Do not forget the PSU is an exhaust fan.

I have no idea about quiet LED fans. I undervolt quality black plasic fans for quiet.
Then ramp'em up on 40C days :D

Gavanized, forgetting LED for the moment, what do you consider as an acceptable CFM for a front intake? I want to make sure if I do change out these Antec's that I will still be cooling my system and providing a good positive airflow through the case. What would the lowest CFM be and I guess an average CFM. I might be willing to change from LED to something else

My two cases have 17cfm 80mm blow hole fans. These work great for drying sweaty ball caps. There are no side cover fans. 92x38mm rear exhaust fan at 57cfm. Front intake on one is a 120x38 @ 103cfm but it will start/run at 5V blowing 50cfm. The other has paired 92x25s at 48cfm each, but these run pretty quiet at 7V. Both rigs have hot P4 procs :( One runs a passively cooled 6200, the other a 6800 with a Zalman 700 on it.
My PSUs have external 92mm fans rated at 48cfm but they are thermally controlled. These fans were modded into place using an 80 to 92 adapter. I use a Sunbeam Rheobus to controll all but the CPU's HS fan. One runs a XP-90, the other a XP-90Cu with Delta EFB 57cfm fans on them. I have a noisy Delta EFB @ 79cfm for very hot days or goofing around=playing at OCing.

Look at http://petrastechshop.com/ for 120x38 Sanyo Denki, it will start/run at 5V.

My next intake fan sets in a garage cabinet. Sanyo Denki 172X51mm, 148cfm@35dBA. It will start/run in near silence at 7V driving close to 100cfm. :p Now I have to buy a case, then fit it.

Boyo, every set-up is different. I have no A/C. I run intake filters. I got Intel chips. All demand strong fans.

I am getting 40 some CFM from front bottom intake and another 40 from the front top intake (I've two Cooler Master 120mm fans for intake--both at 1200RPM and but one is LED and another is black). As for exhaust, I have a 120mm (CM Silent LED), an 80mm side(CM Silent LED), a 72mm in the Silencer NV5R3 and one fan in the power supply that's always on (the other one turns on only when needed). My system is very quiet however, even with around 80 CFM blowing in and out of the case.

Thank you both for your responses and what your fans are running at. That helps give me an idea of where I am. As I said, I have 4x Antec TriSpeed 120mm LEDs. Here is how they are set up:

Side intake is set at 1600RPMs (56CFM); Top Blowhole 1000RPMs (39CFM); Rear Exhaust and Front Intake set at 2000RPMs (79CFM). All CFM and dBA stats are provided by Antec, but my fan controller does read the true RPMs. I also have an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro HSF that keeps my CPU at around 40-45C at 1300RPMs.

Would I be taking a chance by turning down the front intake to medium, which is 1600RPMs (56CFM)? By chance I mean disrupting a positive airflow or raising case heat.

I have two coolermaster silent led fans and they work very well for silent fans imo. SVC has them for cheap (the blue 120mm).

I just turned down my front intake which is running now at 1600RPMs (56CFM) and their is a notable difference in noise. I'm not hearing that whine of the high speed.

Now I am wondering what are ideal temps for a AMD X2 4400+ and a A8N32-SLI mobo? Right now Asus Probe II is giving me a 45C for my CPU and 42C for my mobo.

The thermaltake thunderblade 80mm fans rated at 21 dbA are very quiet, however for the 120mm thunderblades the name takes on more of a meaning - they are NOT quiet at all.

I have this aerocool LED fan for the front of my case. It is silver yes but the LEDs are a very deep rich blue which look really good, I've never seen another manufacturer use such deep blue LEDs before. The fan is extremely quiet too, and airflow isn't too shabby for the amount of noise it makes - or lack of noise actually. Downside is the price, $14 isn't exactly cheap for a fan.

BTW the cone-shaped hub can be removed to make it flat like other fans, you can see that in the one picture on the picture in the link to newegg.

lol :D I'm a stickler when it comes to computers and silence. I can't stand noisy stuff.

You are too funny. Galvanized, do my CPU and mobo temps sound good to you, or should I be expecting lower temps?

Boyo, your worrying too much. Under 50C is cool.

Okay. THanks for all of your help and the input from everyone else too. I appreciate it a lot. I'll check out some of the fans mentioned. Thanks again.

If you can live without the LEDs (for now), for the sake of noiseless and friction-free fan operation, you might be interested in the comments I made in this thread.

I would copy n' paste here, but I don't want to sound like an Enermax hack... ;)

*edit*

Tell you what I WILL do, since I didn't post this link in the other thread (wasn't germane to the discussion)...

Check this out!
