I have a budget below $60 (I have priorities)
thus looking at either the fastpack 100 or the Flipside 200
To hold:

a 50 1.8
a 18 - 55
a 24 - 105 f/4L
a 430EX
memory, cloths, and other essentials

He has a budget of around $150
20d
100 - 400 f/4 - 5.6L
430EX

Gear probably will start floating from a bag to another because of preference for the situation
any suggestions would be great

Thanks for any help

I have the Flipside 200; you can easily fit your loadout into it.

I like its size; a lot better for hiking. Fits very snug onto your body with all the fastener buckled. You can strap a small tripod or monopod to it. Has webbing for a water bottle, and an accessory (memory card, cloth) pocket. And the zipper opens to your back, which keeps your stuff pilfer-proof if you're walking through a crowded market.

I'd say definitely go try some out at a local camera shop if you can to get an idea of sizing. I have a Slingshot AW 2?? for my normal camera bag. For when I want to travel and bring my laptop along, I got a Kata DR-467. You might consider the laptop-less one (DR-465).

Thats one thing i am very paranoid about, all this stuff we will be carrying will be a little more then 5 Years of hard work and losing even the smallest bit would make be cry

Thanks now that jpeyton pointed out that great feature thats now a must for a bag

We will have a macbook with us, how beneficial is having a laptop

Im planning on leaving it at the house (family) that we will be staying at

I've never actually used my DR-467 to go around shooting, but it's got a great layout. Also stands up on its own. Having a laptop with you would only be useful if you were uploading pictures on the go. I only use mine just so I can bring my laptop and camera stuff home in one bag instead of splitting it over 2 and having to check my clothing bag.

I found this one which I have used for my EOS 5D plus several lenses and all accessories. It also has a padded compartment for a laptop. It is sort of a case within a case - decent price. You would have everything in one backpack.

Case

You can probably see it at most any mall camera shop. It is $19 over your budget - but frankly, that is too low for what you are asking for.

I highly recommend Kata Bags. I have an R-103 camera+laptop backpack, and it's great. It's designed exclusively for camera gear (there's no usable exterior pockets), but the quality and durability are 5-stars.
I use my camera backpack to transport all my camera-related gear from one location to another in a safe and protected fashion, but if you want faster access and combination daypack then make sure to keep those things in mind as you look at sling bags.
