Looking for 12" laptop....

Hey guys,

I want a lightweight 12" laptop. I looked at the Lenovo X300 series, but I wasn't sure if it could run AutoCAD competently or not. I need to use autocad as an engineering student, so it's pretty important. I would also like (but not require) that the laptop run wc3. I enjoy the occasional game of dota, so that would be nice.

Any suggestions?

Isn't the X300 pretty expensive? You could probably build a decent desktop and get a cheap notebook for that price.

check out the U110 ideapad. for around $1800 gets L7500, 3gb, 120gb hdd, dvd burner, 11.1in LED screen and 2 batteries. and its under 3 lbs with a battery.

video is weak x3100 tho. but leave gaming to desktops

My problem is that I have the perception that Lenovo is better than some company like avadirect. I also don't know how avadirect's warranty pans out.

Anything will play DoTA. Don't even worry about specs for that.

Yes. My roommate used to play on a GMA950 on a IBM X60 (not a particularly fast model by today's standards) just fine. It wasn't the nicest thing to play on, but it was definitely sufficient.
