A co-worker is selling his old Dell Inspiron laptop, I don't know the model, I believe it's an 8100 or 8000, but don't quote me on that.
The specs are:
P3-700
15" SVGA (might be XGA or whatever - it's a PLAIN 15" Active Matrix TFT and has a weird native resolution, not 1024x768 or 1600x1200)
384MB PC100 (256 from Crucial, 128 from Dell)
30GB HDD (might be 20GB)
ATI Mobility 16MB (M4, M3, or something - not the best by any means)
56k and 10/100
Nylon Case
Built in sound and all of that stuff.. I might've missed some stuff but that's all I know about the system. I work with him and know he takes extremely good care of his stuff, and when he carried around the laptop he never let anyone else use it (I got to use it one short time though), so I know it's in good shape. I would of course get to test it out before I bought it, too.
He's asking $1000, think that's a fair deal? I'm still not sure if I should even really think about it, because $1k is a lot as a college student..
