Watch business/stock shows on tv and then do the opposite (long v. short) of their recommendations.

Unless you have much experience (which you don't if you're asking this), I'd "keep my powder dry" for a while. If there's a rally soon, it'll be a suckers rally.

While you're waiting, investigate bear mutual funds - they do exist and aren't all at hedge funds.
