I'm looking at taking up the guitar. I don't know why now, but I have the urge to learn it. I need some advice on what I should look for when looking at beginners guitars. I want to buy an electric and not an acoustic and I want to buy a practice amp or small amp.

Make sure whatever amp you buy is a tube amp. Sure you'll have to spend at least $300 for a used one, but it'll be damned worth it.
