Looking at KVM Switches

what ever is cheap, they all work fine these days

but as the dog says, you can run multiple boxes headless without using hardware
 
Remote software, even if it's on the same 100mbps network is still lagged... I can attest to that as I do that as well as use a KVM switch. The switch is a better option and for ~$20-30 it's fine. I got a Belkin one on sale at Micro Center for that range when it retails for $45. Like above, anything will work fine... check the warranties.
