I have an ATi TV-Wonder and it's awesome.
It has some seriously painful Win2000 drivers, but in Win98SE it rocks

If you plan to use Win2000 then stay away from it, but you said Win98 so I highly recommend it.

Edit: Actually I've heard that the newest beta drivers for the TV-Wonder in Win2000 work pretty well for everything except video capture. But I've never personally tried them.

Cool, because that was the card I was thinking of. I saw it at Best Buy for 30 bucks.

I too have a Pinnacle Studio PCTV card and it worked straight out the box, this card is at the lower end of the market but I am well pleased with its perfomance. I am running it in Windows Me.

The Pinnacles are nice cards from what I've seen. I like the TV-Wonder because it can record to MPEG directly. I don't think the Pinnacle can, someone please correct me if I'm wrong here....however the Pinnacle is still an excellent choice as well.
