Modular bar and weights are commonplace. I fail to comprehend why a pair of 52lbs could possibly be priced at $400. Indeed, threaded and padded bars are aboot $10 and disc weights are priced per pound which I donut recall but "come on!" it's just friggin cast iron 'n' such so sure ain't near $4 per pound.

buy Powerblocks instead, Bowflex dumbbels come apart off the dial lock when dropped, Powerblocks you can drop
magnets hold them on the side. Powerblock Elites can go up to 130 lbs.

If you're dead set on the bowflex dumbbells you can buy them at Sears for the same price but they include the stand for free.

I have the power blocks and they're great :D

No worries about the weights coming off.

I have the 552's they look much better than the powerblocks, they break if you drop them, who drops weights? I love mine and wouldn't trade them for the world. Well, I would trade them for the newer ones with twice the weight. the stand kicks ass, the powerblocks look like they would be uncomfortable to curl with.

Bowflex stuff is overpriced but I don't feel cheated on what I paid for mine.

How about just power resistant bands? They use them on the informercial.

Oh yeah, show us some before and after pictures of P90x workout. With a newspaper. :D

I watched a couple of the PX90 DVD's and there workout is very intense. I imagine working out as a group like they do in the video would be fun but I find it very boring following them.
