Just bought a 2500+. Installed the retail hsf and temps are running in the mid-50s under load (not oc'd) - about the same as the T-Bird "hottest running cpu ever" 1.4 it replaced. A friend has a SK6+ for me to try (and possibly buy). Anyone use/used this hsf? Opinions? Thanks.

Mid 50's under load is fine. Mid 60's would be fine.
If you want to overclock the sk6+ would do pretty good. You can buy them for $9. online ($14. shipped). A good value. Put a 80mm fan on there by rotating it 1/4 turn.

It dropped my temps significantly on my palomino 2100+ (a "hottie") and I liked it enough I got an sk-7 for my next chip and kept it w/the palomino.

I like it but I'm not expert.

SK7 + medium speed fan
AX7 + low speed fan
slk800 + low/medium speed fan

I'd do any of those over the 6, because you can run a lower speed fan, eliminate some noise.
