Looking at 6600s x16

Looking at 6600s with passive cooling and seen this AOpen card that says 256bit and 256mb memory. The manufacture site says 128bit. Does anyone know which it is? If it is 256bit then why would be less than this Gigabyte card that is 128bit? Maybe because the info on the Gigabyte is wrong too? Looks like the Gigabyte says it 450/500. Is this just a case of bad info? If so which GeForce card with passive cooling and x16 would be the best buy for < $120?

Looking at GeForce because someday I might want to run Linux and looking at the 6600 because it is just over $100 which is my range for a card.

Sorry, I'm not up on video cards much.

Thanks
Carl

6600GT's don't have a 256bit memory interface. That's the main difference between the 6600, and the 6800. All 6600GT's and 6600's have 128bit mem interfaces.

6600's have 128 bit mem. bus. The 6800's have the 256 bit bus, except for the bottom of the line (nu I think) which is only 128 bit.

NU is also 256bit but uses slower DDR.

Thanks for the info...

Seems that newegg has lots of incorrect data on their stuff. What's up with that?

I bought a matx case a couple weeks ago and they had a combo deal with a atx (not matx) mobo. Poor sap that doesn't pay attention!
