so am i just intrested in college, although it's 2 years off. i am browsing around on the Arizona state website, looking at requirements and things for computer realted courses. there is alot of keyworks/symbols that i don't understand.
heres the page i am looking at: http://www.eas.asu.edu/~csedept/Advising/Undergraduate/undergra.htm

so, do u have to pass all of the required emphasis courses to get the degree, or do u have to take them all well as the computer systems engeneering page.

also, what is the difference between a BS course, MS course and bachelor course. also what does it mean when next to master it says 63 hours

thanks for people that can explain these things

Bachelors degree - a four year degree after college. Usually wind up with a Bachelors of science or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Masters degree - 2 year additional degree obtained after 4 year bachelors

A major is the area that you spend most of your emphasis on - taking programming classes for a Bachelor of Science in Computer science. Or, taking a bunch of psych classes for a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

In your particular case, they are requiring you to take some qualifying classes in your desired major before actually allowing you in the full fledged program - or professional program as they call it. You need to get a 3.5 GPA in these required pre-professional classes, and a 3.0 in your electives(history, art, psychology, ect) before you are accepted into that professional program.

The end result of the program would be a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

difference is one is more intense than the other, and nobody really cares about minors. minors are optional, majors are not. if you have an interest in a topic, but don't want to go all out and major in it, you can minor in it.

i really think you should talk to an undergraduate advisor. they will be able to explain and answer your questions better than we can (over internet is harder than in person).

it really depends on your school (hint: talk to advisor)

i think most schools make you take at least a few english courses though, regardless of how well you did in hs.
