I am graduating highschool tommorow and i need to buy a new laptop for college. I am planning on getting around 1100 to spend maybe alittle more if the laptop warrants it.
Anyways the asus z80k looks awesome. For the most part this will be just a back up rig and something to take to class with me aswell as minor gaming and some autocad work but only as my back up system. (going into architecture).
I have read a ton or reviews, but i would trust the people here alot more if anyone has some input.
Right now i am looking to buy this laptop at ezwiz with a 3000+ 62w mobile a64 512megs of ram and a westerdigital scorpio 40gig 5400rpm drive. I really have no idea what i am getting myself into as far as building a laptop goes. I have built a ton of PCs but never even owned a laptop. So basically anything reassuring in this area would be great.
Also is the $200 extra i might spend just buying this same laptop prebuilt worth it? I know warranty and everythigng but asus has a 1 year and all the components are atleast 1 year. Well i am off to bed as i graduate tommorow.
