I have a friend who's is selling her house. However, she has not gotten any offers although she has had a few open houses. I was watching the program "Sell This House" on A&E and they have camera throughout the house to see what potential buyers are saying and doing when looking through the house. I thought this would be nice for my friend so that maybe should would find out what people are not liking about the house.

I was looking at the D-Link line of cameras, but not sure which one. I know I want wireless and preferably G. We will not be running wires now that she is trying to sell.

These camera are expensive, so I need something that will give me the best bang for the buck. If that is not a D-Link, then so be it, I'm willing to go with something else.

If any more info is needed from me, please ask. Thanks for the help.

BYOE (Bring Your Own Ethics)

If you get this I'd really appreciate some screen shots or a movie, I was considering buying one.

not sure what kind of legal implications this might have though.

why not just put audio tape recorders or something in the rooms? would be a hell of a lot cheaper and easier. again, not sure about the legal implications this has.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal, at least without notifying the affected party(ies)
FYI: Just because it's a reality tv show, doesn't mean it's not scripted. And doesn't mean that you could do it without getting sued.
I found out that the show I used to watch, trading spaces, is scripted & not real at all.

I've heard good things about the D-Link cameras. It can't be illegal. It's her house and she can put cameras up if she wants to. If it was illegal all security cameras at businesses would have to be illegal too. I think it's a great idea and the D-Link should do what you want.

It is definately NOT illegal

She has obviously not sold her house yet, so it is still HER property and she can record anybody who steps onto her property without their permission.

Now that doesn't mean that she can show it on TV, but for personal use it is totally legal.

I should actually recommend this to my parents who are currently having a hard time selling their 35 year-old house.
