Hey guys,

been reading the forums for a little while now and looking to upgrade. Im gonna do some gaming probably more than casual but not going crazy. Also i got a tv tuner card in my current system and i'm hoping with the upgrade i'll be able to record programs with good quality. Might do some OCing too.

A64 3200+

Jetway A210GDMS-pro

Chenming mATX 118

Corsair select 1GB RAMnull
dont really know much about ram

Seagate SATA150 250BG

For now i will use on board video, but i will get a real video card when i get more cash.

So tell me what you guys would change and what not

thanx

Yeah, get the 3000+ and get a 6600GT or higher.

I got the A64 3000+ for about $120 from the ewiz deal (check in the Hot Deal forum).
I didnt see a s939 full ATX mobo with onboard video, so might have to get the vid card like I had to do. The Corsair Value Select Ram 1GB kit shoud be a good choice ~$85 but then can dual channel.

You will be able to use your tv tuner card for the mobo you selected has 2 PCI and one PCI-e 1x card. If you want more room inside the case, might want to get the EPoX mobo that Anandtech raves about, unless you need the uATX format for space. the SSF cases are kinda hard to put in good HSF, unless you just use the stock fans.

so you guys think the 3000 is just as good as the 3200, cuz while i do plan to overclock it may not be for a little bit. Also im planning to go mirco ATX and a SFF cuz its a pain in the a$$ lugging that to and from college. Im not worried about a video card right now, So my biggest concern is which proccesor to get, i dont really know wut differences there are between the two besides one goes faster stock, but i dont mind saving the money.

also i was wondering if the retail version of the processor comes with a heatsink and fan

thanx

Should be able to hit 2.3GHz. Some chips will overclock better than others. I wouldn't go over 2.5GHz unless you have a very good CPU that will run 2.5GHz at 1.45Vcore or lower.
