Lookin for a video card that "has it all"

I'm looking for a video card similar to the All-In-Wonder cards w/ TV Tuner.

The x800xl AIW looks nice but too much $$$.

I'm running a 2405 Dell 24" monitor. I don't do a lot of gaming, but I do play WoW.

Any suggestions?

X800 GTO2 cannot be beat. At 200 dollars it is essentially a lower clocked X850, but you'll have no trouble getting it to preform at that speed. BTW, i've run guild was, day of defeat source, and CS source on my 6800NU and its ran great. 🙂

Yeah, I've seen that, but it doesn't have a TV Tuner card does it.

a lot better to get the videocard and a seperate tuner, unless you get the x800 series all in wonder, the tv tuner used is fairly old with sub-par picture quality

Ahh...I guess I could look at going that route...

Any suggestions for a decent, cheap, TV Tuner?

Yep. This is a cheapie and works well. $20 bucks after rebate 🙂.
That one's not bad, but personally I prefer the Hauppage PVR-150...I went with a VIVO card back in the day and although it's neat, whenever you upgrade your rig you lose that functionality. Much better to just plop down for a nice card once and just move it from rig to rig than to keep buying VIVO/AIW cards.

There a bunch more here that're pricier but I'm cheap ass. They vary in terms of robustness so I guess if you need more, start poking around.

Right on! That's what I'm goin for...I just want to use my 2405 for TV since the TV in my room went to crap.

Thanks!

Hmm...I wonder if they're planning on releasing an R520 AIW variant with a built-in HDTV tuner...now that would be hot. 😀 (even though I already have one...I could actually move to an SFF system or something 😛)

from what i've heard all the AIW series have really bad tv recording quality when compared to the hauppauge products. Actually, I can definently attest to that after working in the PVR section at HP. I would highly recommend just buying a seperate tuner card (Win PVR 150 will do quite nicely) and going w/ a solution like the X800GTO2. Furthermore, you wouldn't have to replace the entire card later on and will always have a high quality tuner card on you.
