8 in the morning, on a Monday, I don't have to get up until noon, and this is what I get; some dude on a jackhammer picking away at the cement walkway. Now I'm gonna have to get some coffee. More reason to move out of this place.

damn... i wake up to birds chirping, which can get pretty damned annoying, or maybe i'm just grumpy. it also kinda sucks when you're trying to sleep and they start chirping because it's early morning.

You live on-campus, don't you? Man, do I know how that is...freshman year (Tulane University), when I lived in the dorms, they used to mow the quad in front of my dorm with those huge tractors at 7 AM on Saturdays!!! I couldn't believe it!

No, I graduated this past spring and live off campus. Pretty darn far away from campus actually. About an 8 - 10 min bike ride depending on how much I push myself to get to work/class on time.

Usually, the worst thing is Wednesday morning when the grass guys come around with the lawnmower and grass blowing things at 8 in the morning. This is a first, so I had to snap some pictures. I can go bitch to the manager and get out of this place.

I wouldn't mind waking up to it if I worked at 8 am. I just changed my job and schedule, so now I get to sleep in for the first time and I get this. I use to miss out because I worked at 8 am. And I always wondered why my neighbors kept moving out.

LOL, I just assumed you lived on a college campus since I've never really seen roadwork being done in a residential area other than college campuses. Guess that's why all of New Orleans's streets suck.

Damn neighbor where I live thinks he runs a car repair shop in his driveway. Thank god the computer room is between his driveway and the bedroom. Also the air purifier works well as a white noise generator.

Last year they were building a new dorm right outside my window... That always used to wake me up along with squirrels. They would climb and scratch all up and down the sreen of the window. Scared the hell outta me till I figured out what it was.

I wonder what he's up to also. The cement was fine right there. There was no damage of any sort. Luckily, I'm a sane man because my roommate has a glock and an m16 sitting in his closet with a lunchpail full of bullets. Scary....

Dang...I would have definitely been pissed as well. What drives me crazy is when I get to sleep in a bit on the weekend (I'm waking up at 5am every weekday this summer for work, so I definitely cherish being able to sleep in a bit on the weekend) and then people are all out mowing their fricking lawns at like 7am. I know it's hot during the summer, but I can't say that's a good enough excuse to wake up the street at 7am.
