Deer around here are plentiful. We have a preserve in our backyard where they will actually eat out of your hands, the birds will also land on your hand if you have some seed. You are not allowed to go there but it's so big nobody knows. I have a ton of photos of wild turkey, deer, and more.

But good shot, what's with the barbed wire? Prison?

Former "Government Contract" site used by Grumman when they were very big here on Long Island.

There are actual "US GOVERNMENT PROPERTY" signs all along the fence.

heh, you should live where I live. Every morning there are no less than a dozen deer in out yard. And we just got rid of a skunk living in our garage.

hey.... this is new york... we don't see wildlife on the side of the road, and when we do, it's usually been pancaked... to see some alive... that's a joyous occasion.

That is a beautiful sight guyver. If you like wildlife I suggest taking a trip to the Rocky Mountain national park. It was a awesome experience. We had world class Elk feeding on the sides of the road also was common place to see herds of 50 mule deer with trophy class bucks. We also hiked a trail that the original settlers used to cross the rockies to goto California. All in all, for the ten dollar investment it was well worth it ;)

I should take that road someday - in the only time I visited Rocky Mountain National Park, i went to a lake nearby the entrance.

get off of LI and visit the rest of NY state. plenty of places to see lots of deer.

I have pictures of a deer sticking her head through our open window into our car eating crackers out of our hands :) That was up in Old Forge.
