I think equipment that annoying should only be allowed to be used on interstates and highways, that's the only time I raise the volume up a bit in my car because I know for sure no one well get bothered by it. And I am talking about standard speakers in my car not those glass cup shattering equipment in your "homee's" average ride!

yeah I get some clown that drives by my house about 10:30 each night, annoying as hell. And we have specific noise ordinances concerning car stereos but they are not enforced.

There really is no "audiophile" quality in a car stereo. LOL
lol yeah, baloo, what are you talking about? :p

the "audiophiles" I know, usually can't stand listening to a car's stereo.

This leads me to two options:
1. They really can tell a difference of something as small as the power source and so they get used to their higher quality components and can't really stand something as low as what you'd put in a car. (Or just the simple matter of having well beyond 5 digits in their home and much less in a car)

2. They're just making sure their e-peener stays waxed at all times and can be seen at a good angle.

Car vs. ideal listening environment - the call to judgment shall be easy.

Everything goes out the window as soon as the motor is started but that's even further down the chain of degradation. ;)

Leave the sound in the listening room and drive. :p

I love the people who have standard stereos and turn it up all the way so it sounds soooo horible.

Bah. I stick with my car's stock system (which, surprisingly, isn't that bad) I drive a 2001 Volvo S60. Nothing special, but I can understand the music, get decent bass, an drive with the windows down. The last item is what makes it fun, as long as the traffic is moving.

Left Arm on the windowsill + 70-80 degrees outside + all windows down + Sunroof open + good cruising music + 50+ mph + moving traffic = bliss.

why do you need that? Is your self esteem so low that you need constant attention from others and this is the only thing you could think of? Do you feel so alone that you will resort to extreme annoyation of others to get that attention you crave so dearly? Have you considered getting help?

Yup. I remember having to deal with bad speaker placement, free air mounting, limited available volume for boxes, cones that will be somewhat exposed to the elements, and so forth, but that challenge is what makes it fun :)

And just an FYI: there are lots people who are as obsessed about Sound Quality as others are obsessed with Sound Pressure Level
