VQuake was before GLQuake, John Carmack wrote the API just for Rendition. He got all pissed off at Rendition and wrote GLQuake. 🙂

This was the first 3D card I purchased, everything before that was straight 2D cards. Never needed one before, but I didn't want to shell out for Voodoo, and STB was the only company using NVidia drivers. Awesome card, I had a lot of fun with Foresaken, and some tank game that came with it (I can't remember).

After that I went with a STB Velocity 4400 (TNT) with 16MB onboard, then a Gf3 Ti200 from Visiontek, then an ATI 9800Pro, then my current X800XT.

I bought a Canopus pure 3D(Had a whole 6 megs of Ram instead of 4 like other Voodoo1 cards) 🙂 And 2 Canopus Pure 3D 2's when the came out too think I paid something like $600
