BTW Doom3 Resurrection Of Evil is a PC raper, i set all to max inc 16xAA @1600x1200, and for 1st time ever on this 6800U is little laggy, i tried lowering res but still same, i then ran my card 460/1200( jsut bellow max stable with no artifacts in 3D Mark2005 with no mods to card or bios) instead default 425/1200, still slightly laggy so i killed the AA and put back to 1600x1200 and its fine, i dont really see any diff or need for AA in a dark game like this is looks fine to me.

I will leave all maxed inc res and try 2x AA then work from there, running Rivatuner in background monitoring the gpu temp, it maxes at 71C in room temp 21-23C core slowdown state 115C so its fine, esp as standard cooling thermal pads or paste is prob on the cooler not artic silver 5.

Just to let you all know, cause i see the Splinter Cell thread, but i can tell you that demo of it gave me no probs maxed, this one does slightly and 5.1 surround sound acts up with audigy2ZS and turns of, so i leave it of and use my virtual 7.1 in creatives tools.

it comes out 4/4/05. maybe a store owner gave it to him early or something... since it's coming out in 2 days, most stores already have it in and are just sort of waiting for no apparent reason to piss us off.

I got Doom 3 about five days early- the guys at the Madison East Best Buy put it out by mistake. Maybe something similar happened here.

Doubt it will "rape" my SLI, but you never know. Want it for the 8 player multiplayer if nothing else!

Im in Uk and i order all pre order games abroad, and i found 1 store that seems not to know how long it takes to get to me, cause they always seem to send out early and i get 2-4days max b4 launch.

Hey I loved Doom3. I happen to like "horror" type games, and I played Doom 3 to the last level.

There is no other game I can say that about last year.

People have different tastes. I listen to TOOL, Cracker, and classical almost exclusively these days. You might think that all sucks and listen to country, doesn't mean either of us is "right".

I enjoyed the game as well. I do remember wanting to hurry up and finishing it, but I enjoyed it.

I really hated the fact that it was the same thing over and over again. Go to Lab A, then Lab B, then Lab C, then Lab D... it just never ended. That was my biggest gripe, but... I still liked it .

It will work fine if you remember medium quality settings and 10X7 0X0X is your friend. Doom3, like all John Carmack games, needs the latest and best video hardware to run at higher settings. (i.e. everytime he's released a game, a lot of people upgraded to play it)

Luckily, Doom3 is probably the best looking game ever with reduced settings, you certainly don't need 1600x1200 16AA for it to look great. Can't wait until Monday!

Nope, once you get soulcube form guardian in hell its still a bit to go till end, you dont end game in hell but at portal.

Yeah i had just left hell and returned to the station when the death occured.

Ok im getting 60-61FPS in this game with 1600x1200 and all maxed but NO AA, will try after dinner with AA on 16x, my pc takes few good long seconds to recover after closing game and drawing desktop etc etc.
