Digit-life's article showed little if no performance boost from 128MB, although they didn't test FSAA... I dunno why they excluded that.

"FWIW Joytech also has a 128MB Radeon8500"

Umm I dunno what FWIW means, but this is Joytechs 128MB radeon.

No offense But isn't this the same site that nsf4 found the amd 3000+ cpu (that they are labeling as a fake)

don't get me wrong i know joytech is making a 128 mb ati board but very slow clock speed
and article linked apollo to joytech ?

hope i am wrong .

But i agree. It would be nice since i am due for a new machine lol

Too bad the current games do not use the 64megs on most cards huh. I am patiently waiting. Waiting for the new games to come out, and the new procs in march. Waiting. It will be oh so cool. UT2 and doom3. I grew up on doom. Why would they put more ram on it and clock it slower, its like an oxy-moron, like little giant.

The extra RAM would be useful for FSAA.

DigitLife's article was piss poor. I mean, I don't like to bash on someones hard work, but did anyone else who read that think they should have had the grammer correction turned on? It was like reading a 5th grader.

Plus, seeing how any performance gain is not going to be realized by playing a game that is three+ years old, they should have used Aquanox or something of that nature to see if there is any performance gain to be had with such a large amount of memory.

Well, if that's true then I apoligize. I still have a problem with them not testing with a DirectX 8 game. Or at least the closest one available.
