He doesn't yell at the players enough, he'll be too positive. He's starting to now. It's good that he did it to Earl as a leader of the team, shows the rest of them that he'll yell and get angry at them.

The team is playing well. Yea we tripped against Cal, but Stanford and SC are both good teams, we've won 10 of our last 12. He didn't win a championship until 1961. Wooden was there for years before he won a championship. And he's arguably the best college mens' bball coach ever. Not saying Lavin or anyone can be that good, but if it took Wooden that long, why would Lavin be able to do it faster. He has a good record as far as sweet 16 appearances, 3 out of 4 years. Only 1 other coach has done that, none did it all 4 times. Yea we need to be winning championships but I think Lavin could work out and win some championships.


Damn that was a rant, I'm not stone sober, so....maybe that......

Wooden cries inside everytime he watches the Bruins play under Lavin. Lavin takes high school phenoms and turns them into... well, former high school phenoms. The players never develop under Lavin because he just milks their athleticism as much as possible without developing fundamentals.

I admit he's got something going with this full court press stuff but other than that it looks like the guys are playing a 5 on 5 pick up game.
