It's just a fisheye, it gives you a huge (but distorted) field of view.
that seller has a ton of overpriced rare camera equipment that sits unsold for months or years. Going rate on one of those should be around it's original new price, $12k or so.

a lot of it is holdover from 2005-2007, when the collectors market was booming and the really rare stuff (this one, 300 f/2, 2000 f/11 etc) would double in price every time a new one came on the market (which wasn't that often, 1-2 a year)
last few years things have more or less collapsed. Hell, recently a 300 f/2 went for under $15k, new they were $28k. (edit: in 1983)
