I'm a longtime matlab user who is trying to get started with python also. I see the SciPy stack (Python, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, IPython, etc) looks more or less essential, and so I was checking out some of the distributions.
I work on windows and linux machines, and I see that Anaconda, Algorette Loopy, Enthought Canony, and Pyzo, are all cross-platform on win/linux, does anyone use any of those and/or have a preference among them?
