Just installed LH build 4051...me likey 🙂

IE blends with the forums very well

EDIT: but i've never used more than 800MB of RAM...now I'm using 1.14 🙁

Too bad they are stripping it down for final release. At this point it seems like it's going to be an XP Second Edition.

How does it compare with OSX 10.3 (Panther), if you have experience with it?

i haven't used it too much yet, but i'll tell everyone later....It seems like LH will have many more 3d features than OSX 10.3, but by that time, we might be at OSX 10.6 or something

EDIT: the version i'm using right now (4074) i think has WinFS...i like how they made all the new windows like my computer and everything.....easy navigation

Yeah....you'd think they could have come up with more in what will have been the five years since XP's release...

Not quite...all signs point to a 2006 release of Longhorn, which will have been 5 years since XP was released in 2001. That was what I was trying to say.

Edit: And how it's kind of ridiculous that Microsoft is having to get rid of a couple of their main selling points for Longhorn, just to "keep it on schedule" or something like that....then what's the point??

i agree, windows 98SE rerun
yawn

they should have waited for WinFS
BeOS had the features of WinFS back in what, 1998 or '99? how hard can it be to copy them?

1 gig, huh.
I use on average 100-200 megs or ram for system processes, browsing, email, music.
Thanks but no thanks

What's funny about this is it will look like 2K once all the things are disabled.

We have policies on the network that disable all that stuff so when the XP machines are joined into the domain everything is classic. Love it!

Cheers!
