I've got a Pentium 4 from 2003 that still posts. It never reaches max clock rates though, I think because the cooler is basically non-functioning at this point. The 80gb hard drive still going after 10+ years though, crazy.

My wife is still using one of my old Q9650 gaming computers, I forget how old it is, and my sister-in-law still uses an even older Q6600 one I sold here cheap just to cruise the net and light gaming one still.

I rebuilt that one a bit, but that old ASUS Mobo and Q6600 has been kicking along a long time now.

I'm still running an old socket 775, Intel 925X Express ICH6R Supermicro box. It has an Intel Pentium 4 670 CPU. 4 GB of DDR2 533 Super Talent memory. I have a FX workstation card as well. I built it 2005? Running strong. Slackware for OS. I'll run it a couple more years. Still fast for what I do.

My main server is from like 2007. It's a core2quad whitebox with 4GB of ram. I recently built a server to replace it and do full virtualization but I still have not migrated everything off the old one yet. I will probably end up redoing everything from scratch. The old server is a hybrid, it has some stuff on the host like email and DNS along with some VMs. I migrated most of the VMs over to the new server which is running ESXi but I'll wnat to create a new VM with new OS to do the mail, DNS etc... The old server is running Fedora Core 9 so it's time to retire that.

I was, up until very recently, using a Q9300 overclocked from 2.5Ghz to 3.0Ghz (333 to 400 FSB), on a P35-DS3R mobo. All solid caps! It continues to hold out admirably.

Now I'm on a Newegg combo special, a G3258 (OCed from 3.2Ghz to 3.8Ghz), with a Gigabyte H81M-DS2V board. Using an AMD/ATI DVI-to-HDMI adapter, on the DVI-out port, and getting HDMI audio.

the oldest running computers I have would be a pair of Sun Ultra 2 workstations.. both purchased around 1995 or 96.. if they didn't suck up so much electricity they'd still make a decent DNS/DHCP server.

My old K6-2 450MHz from 1998 still works just fine. With an impressive 192MB RAM. I've had to replace the HDD and PSU though, and moved it to a newer case. Still use it for really old games occasionally.

My original Apple Macintosh Performa 575 is still running. Had to replace the HDD and the CMOS battery, but that's about it.

Best $1600 ever spent!

Built current desktop in 2006, still runs. I'll probably wait until skylake for another build - a 10 yr run.

That is a great machine. May want to check caps occasionally.

Eh it's not impressive if the computer just happens to still work. It's all about total uptime.

Home server is up and running for a year now. It was a desktop prior to that for maybe two years but rarely saw any uptime.

I once worked a place that still had a sun server running from the mid 90s. Never had an issue the whole time.

I haven't owned it the whole time, but I have a circa-2001 Compaq Deskpro EN with a Pentium III. At some point it was "upgraded" to 512KB RAM and and a 20GB HDD to go along with its CD and 3.5 "floppy" drives. I added a PCI USB card. For now it's still running an old version of Ubuntu, slowly but steadily, and was until a few months ago my emergency Internet computer. It hasn't been in constant use, but it was kept connected to the web and the OS periodically updated.

I would put Lubuntu on it to speed things up or at least see.

Yep, it's on the To Do List. I moved a few months ago and it and its younger cousin the 2005 Compaq Sempron machine are still sitting around disconnected waiting for me to figure out where to put 'em...

I still have a core 2 duo from 2006 hooked up to my cable with a TV tuner for recording TV programs. I also have an athlon xp2600 from something like 2002 that still works, but I dont really use it except rarely for "downloading" stuff.

Edit: my work lab still is using P4 machines running XP to control analytical instruments, but they are not connected to the internet. They just dont want to try to get the software running on Win 7 or 8.

A few months. I rebuilt PCs at will. Now its closing in on a year - both my boxes have non K 4770's with 16GB RAM, one on H97, one on Z87. Can't be bothered with the glacial "changes" anymore. I don't do dual cores anymore unless its throwaway laptops or tablets.

The P35-DS3R v1.0 board, currently with the Q9300, has been under 24/7 load, overclocked, for pretty much its entire life. It was purchased in 2007.

That was a very interesting board when it came out. Super high quality components and 6-phase processor voltage regulator. Excellent design. That board, flat out, rocked. I seem to recall it was relatively inexpensive. I built many gamers with that beast.

I've got a Q6600 OC'd to 3.6GHz and 4GB RAM from late 2007 which is still used daily and surprisingly adequate still.
