Longest wait time on the phone?

As far as you can remember, what is the longest you've ever had to wait on the phone?

<--- currently 44 mins. My record probably over 1-2 hours

I wait 3 hours on a weekly basis. Dealing with vendors can be a pain. The WORST is New Edge Networks. If I have to call them to report a problem, I pretty much clear out my schedule for the day.

Isn't speaker phone great?

Keep working and wait till someone actually answers the phone.

Worst for me is 2 hours every day for about a week. I was trying to call the phone company to start service in my new apartment. When I finally got an answer it would be someone telling me to call back tomorrow because they were short on personel.

I always found that a bit puzzling. Why didn't the PHONE company have enough people to answer the PHONES?

I actually use a wireless headset. Even better because I can walk around wherever I want :)

I remember back in the 90's when I would be waiting for 3-4 hours with Apples tech support.
