Longest time for a SETI Work Unit?

I'm curious what your longest time has been to complete a WU in SETI? I installed the 3.0 client on my old P180 just to see what would happen, and it is now just over 50% after 65 hours of work, so it looks like I'll be getting one WU out of this thing every 5 days or so (~120 hours). 😱

Hi Fardringle,

Twice, on two different systems, I've had ver. 3.0 WU's that were taking much longer that normal. I stopped the the process, rebooted the system and it finished in the appropriated amount of time for the % left. For example, I noted that a PIII-450, which normally finishes a WU in less than 8 hours, was about 65% complete with an anticipated total time of 28 hours! After rebooting it finished in less that 3 hours, rather than 10+ hours that it projected. SetiQ alerted me that it was around 11 hours late which prompted my investigation.

I have seen extended wu times on a P2-450 system. It normally runs about 8 hrs, one day I saw it was going to take about 40 hrs!! I rebooted, now it's back on track. Not sure what happened.

The longest WU time reported in my SetiQ log is 86h25m36s from my fiancee's K6-166 that she refuses to leave on all the time and when she does have it on she is always using it. 🙁

I appreciate the suggestions on rebooting the system during an excessively long WU, but this computer has been rebooted at least a dozen times during the process (wife wouldn't let me leave it on, since she's already not pleased about me leaving the fast computer on..) 🙂

The text only V3 has done it to me also. The first unit it did after I loaded it on my 700@933 took 12 hours and ever since it has been in the high 3 hour range. I loaded V3 on the wifes 550 Katmai whick averaged 7-7.5 with the 2.4CLi and the first unit on it took 24 hours then it dropped to low7s again.
