Godspeed You! Black Emperor has a lot of songs over twenty minutes. Some of the most amazing music I have ever heard.

Providence, Storm, Terrible Canyons of Static, Sleep, Rockets Fall on Rocket Falls are all 20+mins.

I heard a Hurt Bird Bath by Umphrey's McGee that was 47 minutes long back during a 2004 show.. don't remember which show though. Think it was in June, maybe?

theres so much jam band stuff that goes over 20 minutes the op would be well off to spend time at bt.etree.org

ive heard them once live, and im pretty sure none if it went over 10 minutes or so, but it was at the big summer classic so nobody really carried on for too long.

The granddaddy of long songs: The Beatles's Hey Jude.

Sure it was only 7+ minutes, but it dated to the 60s, andwas a hit.

Longplayer, 2613 days so far ;)

Sounds a little like Ray Lynch and Wendy Carlos combined. :Q

I'd stream that here but instead of time we'd have a Clockwork Red.

Whats wrong with classical? Isn't that an overaly broad segment to eliminate? Appalachian Spring (24 minutes) is quite powerful and constantly building. If I wasnt so tired I would list more.

Opeth - Black Rose Immortal (20:14) ... My favorite band, and one of my favorite songs. Perhaps one of Akerfeldt's greatest masterpieces, tt's long, it's epic, but it isn't boring or full of filler. This song is complex and melodic. It's one of my favorites They have a lot of songs over 10 minutes long, this one is their longest. This is from before they softened up, so it hits hard. Opeth > *. Reviews

Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of Darkness (60:06) ... This song is very difficult to explain. It's kinda dark and doomy, yet it's very progressive. It's goood stuff. Reviews

Edge of Sanity - Crimson (40:00) ... From the amazing Dan Swano, this epic song is like no other.Review

Any song I would have to listen to on Paris Hilton's albums would be the longest song.

Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
The song itself is nine minutes, but there was a concert in the 80s (my friend went to it) where Lynyrd Skynyrd played the song for 45 minutes.
