I just got done with an 18 hour shift. I find that to be quite a few hours.

The longest I can remember was around 18 hours. 8 AM Saturday morning to 2 AM Sunday morning. We were doing a software release that required us to update some existing data sets. The automated process we had developed kept crapping out. I got a speeding ticket on the way home too, IIRC.

I worked for 14 hours @ Papa Johns last sunday. I'm only 17 too. I'm sure there's some kind of law against that :)

22 1/2 hours. 8AM to 6:30AM the next day

NT domain went nuts. I had to rebuild it from scratch. 35 users.

Personally, Ive worked 12 hours strait at most. My brother has worked 96 hours strait. Of course, I think being a firefighter bends those rules a bit.

I thought I could easily take this one with an answer of 96 hours, but I guess not.

Did 96 hours straight during the work-ups for my last Med Cruise. Was part of a Forward Command Element - the Marines and sailors that fly from the ships to something like an embassy to evacuate non-combatants or whatever else. As part of the play, some guy playing the role of an ambassador (a lot of times they use a former ambassador) will come out and typically State Department-like will say "You can't bring in 40 guys; you can only bring in 6". I was a SIGINT guy so could operate radios too and I went in to do the work of about 6 or 7 people. 96 hours straight. It can be done. I can tell you that during the last 10 of those hours I was almost useless and had a very hard time remembering my callsign.

During my third Med Cruise did 16 hours a day, 7 days a week for 3 months straight. Our ship couldn't leave the Adriatic. This during the days of UN relief flights into the old Yugoslavia. I was the lucky one that actually had work to do. A lot of the guys didn't.

Remember Gunny, you and I work for the guys who make sure crew fatigue is part of the drill.
