well since I moved away from the city, I lost my dearest friend, my cable modem.

I'm at school or work most of my day, with multiple T3's in either location, but in the few hours I'm home I'm stuck on dialup.. my school offers free dialup accounts for students into the school network, and it never drops you, EVER. but since I only have 1 home phone line I never keep it up to see how long it could go, but the first day I left it on when I went to sleep, thinking it would cut me off like netzero did every 2 hours on the dot, but it didn't.
I got up the next morning, went to school, went to work, came home, and saw it was still connected for ~24 hours. I messed around online for a while and went to sleep, killed it when I got up before I left the house, so longest is about 36 hours for me, but other students have told me they've had it up for weeks before having to reboot finally or something and ending up killing it. so its like a dedicated 1b+d isdn or something
