Longest battery life netbook while running Linux?

Hey guys. I'm having a hard time shopping around for a netbook with a long battery life under Linux. As you all know, most reviews focus on performance under Windows. Linux has notoriously bad power management support for most machines, so I'm trying to find some kind of exception.

Is asking for 7 hours of battery life under light usage (web, email, pdf, programming) unreasonable? Also, I'm okay with a netbook that comes with Windows - I just plan on formatting it and throwing some kind of Linux distro on there (probably Ubuntu).

Edit: My 7 hour figure comes from the fact that my 15 inch MacBook Pro quad core i7 with dual hard drives gets 7 to 8 hours consistently. I'm sure something smaller with lower specs can compete?

I had ubuntu 11.04 running on my toshiba NB550D for a while. Power use was very similar to win 7 maybe a bit better. Only issues were suspend not working and HD playback was worse than in win7.

Battery wise, with the 61wh battery it should do around 7 hours for normal use.
