Longer life ahead for laptops

Looks like by early 05 we could have laptops lasting as long as 8 hours.

IBM has consistenly been benching over five hours on one, I guess there are some claims that it can hit six given specific settings. I think the 8 hours is definitely something that can be reach by the end of 2004!

Well, one of the things that they said would help is "Centrino" technology

BTW, with my t40 and the 9 cell battery, I bet I could hit 8 hours (based on my experiences with the 6 cell).
