Long USB mini b to mini b cable

I'm pretty sure that such a cable would violate the standards. You could instead get two mini-B to A cables and a USB A coupler to go in the middle (couplers also make a mockery of the standards, but seem to be popular anyway).

20 feet should be ok if it's just for power, but I think 5m is the max for data integrity.

But yeah, if you just get a type a to mini b and an adapter, you can do this on monoprice for like $10.

Depends on the cable. With poorer quality ones you should only expect 2-3m for reliable data transfer. If you're going much over that a booster is recommended. High quality cables can do 5m, but they're expensive.
